I started painting in earnest in January 2022 after thirty years spent running a sailing and events PR Consultancy, under my maiden name, Peta Stuart-Hunt.

I paint mainly in acrylics, but also enjoy using oils, watercolours and mixed media and have finally found the time to bring to life some of the imagery that has been buzzing around in my imagination for so many years. It's a continuous learning process and a real delight to share here with fellow 'imaginators'!

Having retired from PR, I enjoy art classes,  occasional workshops in the beautiful surroundings of the Palais des Vaches (painting in acrylics and oils) and even have enjoyed a couple of residential workshops at West Dean.  I also enjoy doing the occasional online watercolour course with nautical artist Claudia Myatt to make the most of this lovely medium.

I live with my husband and our much loved labrador Mack, on the edge of Lymington, in the New Forest.  It's a magical place that inspires me on our woofer walks.

After some 40 years living and working in the South of England, I can't imagine being anywhere else. It provides me with an endless source of inspiration for my paintings as well as an abundance of clean air.
